RAMS Plus Licensing & Usage Policy
RAMS Plus is licensed as COTS (commercial off-the-shelf software) to European Civil Aviation Authorities, and other sites on a case-by-case basis.
For other world-wide commercial or governmental agencies, the RAMS Plus simulator can be applied to your ATM simulation requirements in collaboration with ISA Software.
Collaboration with ISA Software ensures you get the highest level of fidelity and results for your analysis, whilst meeting your time-lines and budget requirements. The level of collaboration depends on your requirements, where ISA Software provides a full spectrum of analysis services from abstracting modeling requirements to data development, running the simulations, and producing reports.

RAMS Plus is a community-supported tool, where your usage fees pay for support and continuing RAMS Plus development, to ensure that RAMS Plus continues to meet & exceed your requirements for a simulator tool.
RAMS Plus is owned, developed, distributed, and supported exclusively by ISA Software.
What Does A RAMS Plus License Include? (note: For European Civil Aviation Authorities)
RAMS Plus is licensed by single-machine (Windows NT/2000/XP), where each single-machine license represents gate-to-gate Airside and Groundside features.
A RAMS Plus license includes:
- Comprehensive RAMS Plus simulator tool & graphical scenario development environment.
- Comprehensive User Manual and Data Manual (in PDF format)
- Complementary ATM Analyser report package, including a configurable set of standard reports that recognise RAMS Plus simulation outputs.
- One year of support (see details below).
- Unrestricted usage rights (private, internal, commercial, etc.)
- FREE TRAINING
A RAMS Plus license options include 1 year of support, representing:
- All RAMS Plus releases, upgrades, and patches.
- All ATM Analyser releases, patches, and upgrades.
- Product support via email at ramssupport@isa-software.com, normally an immediate or same day response.
- Full access to all areas of RAMSPlus.com
- Transfer of license(s) to newer machines, and temporary lap-top license for client visits.
A RAMS Plus license options includes free training:
- Two and a half day training session for a maximum of three persons.
- Available at ISA Software Ltd. located in the center of Paris.
- Available at your site providing (1) you pay transportation & hotel costs (2) provide a suitable room/projector/machines.
Are Multi-License Packages Available?
RAMS Plus is available as a single license/ single machine package, however, depending on your needs, multi-license packages are available, where, depending on your agency or company's objectives, these can represent fair cost-savings over a single-license.
What Are The Continuing Support Costs After The First Year?
After the first year of support, you can choose to continue recieving RAMS Plus support and new releases by paying the continuing support fee.
The RAMS Plus continuing support fee is nominal, and traditionally has been approximatelly 25% of the original license fee.
Of course, you are not obliged to continue paying for RAMS Plus support, and can continue to use your RAMS Plus license as long as you like on your existing licensed machine.
Can I Use My RAMS Plus License For Any Commercial Purpose?
Of course. Included with your RAMS Plus license cost, you can apply the RAMS Plus tool as part of any internal, private, or commercial endeavor you wish, without asking "permission" from ISA Software or anybody else.
When I Travel To Client Sites, How Can I Present Their Airspace/Airport Configuration & Results?
As promoting your results to your clients is the ultimate objective of any analysis, we are pleased to provide temporary licenses when it may be necessary to take your results on the road or to perform tasks outside your office.
I Have Critical Project Time Constraints. What Can I Expect From RAMS Plus Support?
We have a reputation and solid track-record for providing immediate response and solutions to our users.
For product support, as we don't like unacknowledged support questions, waiting months or a year for the next major release for a solution to a minor problem, or vague work-around solutions, we assume that you don't either.
RAMS Plus Support will normally respond on the same day with an acknowledgement of your question or problem, and will normally provide a full answer and solution on the same day or within a few days.
Do I Need Special Hardware or Software To Use RAMS Plus?
RAMS Plus is available on the familiar Windows NT/2000/XP platform, and can be installed in minutes on any standard off-the-shelf Windows machine. For larger scenarios (10000+ flights), it is preferable to have 512mb or 1g of RAM available on your PC.
Can I Evaluate RAMS Plus™ Before Licensing?
There's no mystery around RAMS Plus. If you are a European Civil Aviation Authority, you can receive an evaluation package containing a full-featured version (limited by number of flights) of the latest RAMS Plus completely free of charge.
